Kiuas is the sauna’s stove. The best work with wood. The fire heats the stones on which water is thrown causing a gentle steam in the sauna.
The sweat lodge is heated with stones that are several hours in the heat. A rudimentary sauna but still relevant.
Water coming from the lake is thrown on stones warmed by the stove causes soft vapors which give sensation of relaxation. The sauna is a part of the everyday life of the Finns.
After sauna you can swim in the lake.
